Riot Games is releasing Patch 17.3 for Teamfight Tactics, aiming to shift the meta away from low-cost reroll strategies. The update rebalances many champions and traits to encourage different playstyles.
Morgana reworked into a 4-cost Magic Tank
Morgana has been reworked from a 3-cost to a 4-cost Magic Tank, making her a stronger frontline option. Augments are now banned depending on the opening encounter to prevent snowballing. Anima Squad now gives loot after every combat instead of only after wins. Five-cost champions Shen and Sona receive buffs, while overperformers Briar, Twisted Fate, Teemo, Akali, Bel'Veth, Leona, and Jax are nerfed. Four new augments are added, and Heart of the Swarm is re-enabled.

Riot Games has not confirmed a release date for Patch 17.3.
The patch continues Riot's efforts to balance the game and keep the meta fresh. According to PCGamesN, Riot always intended for Shen to play like a traditional bruiser, and now players can use him "like a tanky version of Riven."
