TCL has introduced the 27P2A Ultra, a new Mini LED gaming monitor that targets competitive players who need extreme frame rates. This dual-mode display allows users to push refresh rates far beyond standard 240Hz or 360Hz panels, which matters for gamers chasing every millisecond of advantage in fast-paced titles. The monitor is now available in China, offering a specific hardware configuration for users who prioritize raw speed over native 4K resolution.

Dual-mode display offers 1080Hz at 720p and 550Hz at QHD

The 27-inch panel operates in two distinct modes to balance resolution and speed. Users can run the monitor at QHD resolution with a 550Hz refresh rate, or drop to 720p to hit a maximum of 1080Hz. This flexibility means buyers can choose between sharper visuals at high speeds or maximum smoothness at lower resolutions. The device supports both FreeSync Premium and G-Sync, ensuring compatibility with and graphics cards.

TCL also includes Tmoc Super Dynamic Sharpness technology to enhance detail, while MPRT-Plus effects aim to reduce motion blur and ghosting during high-speed gameplay.

The 27P2A Ultra launched in China with a price tag of 3,999 CNY (around $588). There is no official word on an international release yet, so global buyers currently cannot purchase this specific model. The 27P2A Ultra remains a China-exclusive option for now.

TCL confirmed the launch of the 27P2A Ultra with dual-mode refresh rates and Mini LED backlighting. The monitor ships in China for 3,999 CNY (around $588). International availability remains unconfirmed.
