SNEG has announced that Witchaven 1 and Witchaven 2 will be permanently removed from Steam on Monday, June 15. The publisher is simultaneously offering a steep discount on both titles before the delisting deadline.

The original Witchaven title launched in 1998 from developer Monolith Productions, utilizing the Quake engine to deliver its fast-paced action. Its sequel arrived in 1999 to broaden the experience with enhanced features for both solo play and competitive matches. Both games are now being pulled from Valve's digital storefront.
The enhanced builds of both titles incorporate fixes from the community-driven EGwhaven project. These updates include improved control schemes that modernize gameplay for contemporary hardware configurations.
SNEG has dropped the price to $0.87 USD or £0.63 GBP for each individual game. Purchasing both Witchaven 1 and Witchaven 2 together costs $1.48 USD or £1.08 GBP, representing a significant reduction from their original retail pricing.
These titles have remained accessible on the platform for years despite a lack of significant official patches or changes. The EGwhaven community project has kept the titles playable for modern systems through fan-made patches and compatibility fixes.
