Square Enix has released a second demo for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales ahead of its June 18 launch. The demo is available now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Save data from the demo carries over to the full game.
Demo introduces real-time combat and Magicite Box
The game marks a major shift from the series' traditional turn-based combat to a real-time action-adventure system. Players control Elliot directly in combat, with no party management. The shift to real-time action is intended to modernize the gameplay.
- Combat system: Real-time action-adventure
- Weapon classes: Seven distinct classes including swords, bows, chains, sickles
- Customization feature: Magicite Box for on-the-fly elemental trait swapping
The demo introduces the Magicite Box, a loadout feature that lets players swap elemental traits onto weapons on the fly. Seven weapon classes are available, including swords, bows, chains, and sickles. Dual-wielding and an elemental weakness system add further depth.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales launches globally on June 18 across all platforms. The demo gives players a chance to experience the new combat system before release. With save transfer, returning players can pick up where they left off.
