Echo Foundry Interactive has pushed back the Early Access launch of its rhythm game, Sound System, by three weeks. The delay provides the developers additional time to polish the game before its public launch. Players who were planning to jump in during mid-October will now need to wait until early November to access the title on PC.
Rhythm game shifts PC release to November 4
Sound System is a rhythm game developed by Marcus Henderson and Echo Foundry Interactive. The studio describes the project as a next-generation rhythm game designed to evoke the social energy of gaming from two decades ago. Co-founder Lennon Lange stated that the team hopes the title will bring families together again, mirroring the communal play habits of the past.
The Early Access version of Sound System is scheduled to arrive on November 4. This release will be available exclusively for PC via Steam. The studio expects this Early Access phase to last approximately six months. This timeframe enables the team to collect player feedback and refine the final version.
While the PC Early Access is set for November, the full launch timeline extends further into the future. The complete version of the game is planned for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The initial Steam release serves as the first step in this multi-platform rollout strategy.
The delay from the original October 16 date to November 4 marks the current confirmed status of the game. The Early Access launch on Steam remains the primary focus for the immediate future. The studio is prioritizing the PC platform for this initial phase before expanding to other consoles.
