Sony is expanding the PS5 Digital Edition lineup with a themed bundle that targets collectors and fans of the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine game. This release offers a distinct aesthetic for the disc-less console, giving buyers an alternative to the standard white or black designs. The limited edition approach allows enthusiasts to customize their setup with specific character motifs without needing the full disc drive model.
Scottish artist Mark Simpson designs yellow console and matching controller
The centerpiece of this launch is the Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle. It pairs the PS5 Digital Edition console with a matching DualSense Wireless Controller. The design work comes from Scottish comic book artist Mark Simpson, known by his pen name Jock. He created the yellow console finish and controller scheme to reflect the character's intensity.
Simpson described his goal to capture Wolverine at his fiercest through the hardware design. He noted that he draws all artwork traditionally and found the project exciting. The artist wanted to marry cutting-edge hardware with the energy of hand-drawn ink. This artistic direction sets the visual tone for the entire bundle and its accompanying accessories.
Sony is also releasing standalone accessories in Battle Yellow and Adamantium themes. These include DualSense Wireless Controllers priced at $84.99 USD (around $84.99). Buyers can also purchase PS5 and PS5 Pro console covers for $74.99 USD (around $74.99). The complete bundle itself is listed at $649.99 USD (around $650).
Pre-orders for these items begin on August 19 at PlayStation Direct. All products, including the console, controllers, and covers, will be available on September 15. We touched on PS5 Fans Plan Console Blackout to in our earlier Sony coverage, but this release focuses on the digital-only variant. The bundle remains exclusive to the PS5 Digital Edition with no disc or Pro versions planned.
