Mega Crit has released patch 0.106.0 for Slay the Spire 2 on the beta branch. The developer is now issuing update notes every other week instead of following a different schedule. This latest version brings changes to several enemies and rebalances abilities across all five playable characters.
Mega Crit adjusts enemy mechanics and rebalances all five playable characters in the latest beta update
The update introduces new mechanics for existing foes. The Infested Prism enemy now applies a Tainted effect that increases damage taken each time the player plays a card. Aeonglass Wither cards deal escalating damage in increments of three, six, and nine points while resisting easy discard options. A Mummified Hand relic now prioritizes higher-cost colorless cards. Five additional enemies have joined the phobia mode roster.

Character adjustments affect every class. The Ironclad receives changes to Drum of Battle regarding Replay interactions, Howl From Beyond playing from the exhaust pile, Entrench benefiting from enchantments, and increased Unrelenting damage output. The Silent sees Follow Through replaced by a zero-cost Scare card that applies Weak status, Predator rarity shifting to common, and boosted Pounce damage.
The Warden gains a Furnace ability that provides one additional Forge per turn while Minion Sacrifice grants negative block points. Astral Pulse damage now splits across two hits, and Sealed Throne costs zero energy but requires three stars and loses its innate trait. The Necrobinder deals more damage with Death March based on cards drawn and applies debuffs for one fewer turn via Debilitate. Defect players face a Fusion skill that always costs one energy until upgraded alongside Synthesis gaining two damage points and Shatter losing four damage points.
Mega Crit has not confirmed the full release timeline for this patch outside of the beta branch.
