Shokz OpenDots 2 Clip-On Earbuds Launch with Bluetooth 6.1 and Bone-Conduction Mics
ACCESSORIES

Shokz has launched the OpenDots 2 clip-on earbuds. They bring Bluetooth 6.1 and bone-conduction microphones. The OpenDots 2 offer improvements over the OpenDots One while keeping the same price.

IP57-rated earbuds with Bassphere 2.0

The OpenDots 2 retain the open-ear clip-on design of the previous model. The charging case now carries an IP54 rating, while the earbuds themselves are rated IP57. The earbuds automatically detect left and right ears and offer touch controls for playback, volume, and calls.

Specifications

  • Bluetooth: 6.1
  • Drivers: Dual 11.8mm (works as 16mm)
  • Microphones: 6 (3 per earbud, 2 bone-conduction)
  • Battery: 10 hours (earbuds), 40 hours (with case)
  • Water resistance: IP57 (earbuds), IP54 (case)

Inside, Shokz Bassphere 2.0 uses dual 11.8mm drivers that work together as a single 16mm driver. A redesigned diaphragm cuts distortion by 70%, according to Shokz. The earbuds also feature upgraded Dolby Audio.

Six microphones for clearer calls

Each earbud packs three microphones, including two bone-conduction mics. This brings the total to six microphones, three times the number on the OpenDots One. The bone-conduction mics work with air-conduction mics and AI noise reduction for clearer calls.

Battery life reaches up to 10 hours per charge, with 40 hours total using the charging case. The case supports USB-C wired charging and Qi wireless charging. A five-minute charge provides two hours of playback.

The OpenDots 2 are available now in Pearl White, Grey, and Black. They cost 199.95 USD (about $200). Shokz is offering a limited edition gift with purchases from its website.
