Schlage launches the Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt on June 29, 2026, featuring UWB hands- free unlocking, Matter over Thread, WiFi, and Apple Home Key support. Priced at $399 in the US.

Schlage is bringing hands-free unlocking to its smart locks with the Sense Pro, launching June 29, 2026. The lock uses Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, which Schlage calls Converge, to automatically unlock when an authorized iPhone approaches. This eliminates the need to tap or use an app.

The Sense Pro is Schlage's first smart deadbolt to support Matter over Thread, allowing direct connection to smart home hubs. It also includes WiFi for remote management and NFC for tap-to-unlock. A USB-C jumpstart port on the exterior provides backup power if the batteries die.

The lock works with Apple Home Key for hands-free UWB unlocking. Later this year, it will receive Aliro certification, enabling Android users to unlock via UWB with Samsung Wallet and Google Wallet. This makes it one of the first locks to support UWB on both major mobile platforms.

The Schlage Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt is priced at 399 USD in the US and 549 CAD in Canada. It launches on June 29, 2026 in both countries.
