A leaked die shot of Samsung's Exynos 2700 chip reveals the silicon that will likely power the Galaxy S27 series. This hardware preview matters because it confirms Samsung's shift to a new dual-prime CPU architecture and faster memory support. Buyers tracking flagship performance gains can now see the concrete changes Samsung is making to compete in the high-end smartphone market.

Leaked chip details confirm Samsung's new core strategy for next-gen flagships

The Exynos 2700 processor integrates ten CPU cores built on Samsung Foundry's SF2P process node. This configuration divides the cores into two distinct clusters to handle different workloads. The first cluster uses two Arm C1-Ultra cores running at 3.36 GHz alongside four C1-Pro cores at 2.88 GHz. The second cluster pairs one C2-Ultra core at 4.24 GHz with two C2-Pro cores at 3.74 GHz.

Exynos 2700 Specifications

  • Process Node: Samsung Foundry SF2P
  • CPU Configuration: 10 cores total: 2x Arm C1-Ultra (3.36 GHz), 4x Arm C1-Pro (2.88 GHz), 1x Arm C2-Ultra (4.24 GHz), 2x Arm C2-Pro (3.74 GHz)
  • GPU Model: Xclipse 970
  • GPU Architecture: 8 WGPs
  • Memory Cache: 24 MB SLC

Graphics performance relies on the new Xclipse 970 GPU, which features eight WGPs. This matches the WGP count of the previous Xclipse 960 found in the Exynos 2600. Samsung also includes 24 MB of System Level Cache (SLC) on the die to manage data flow. The die layout confirms support for LPDDR6 memory, which should address bandwidth limitations seen in earlier generations.

The modem remains a separate component rather than being integrated into the main SoC die. This design choice keeps the base processor die size manageable but requires additional board space. We've been tracking Exynos 2700 closely — see our earlier coverage on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Europe.

These specifications come from an engineering sample leak and remain subject to change before retail release. Die image resolution prevents precise measurement of the GPU L2 cache size increase. The confirmed features provide a clear baseline for what Samsung has improved over the Exynos 2600 for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series.
