Romestead, a co-op survival crafting game set in a fallen Ancient Rome, launched on Steam Early Access on June 2, 2025. The game invites players to rebuild civilization after the gods have disappeared.

Developed by Beartwigs, Romestead supports up to eight players officially, with the possibility to invite more through mods. The creators wanted to bring players into the mix as early as possible, hence the early access release.
At launch, the game features three biomes, including a new volcanic biome, and five bosses to defeat. These features form the core of the rebuilding experience at launch.
Romestead is priced at $12.59 USD (about $12.59) globally, with a 10% launch discount until June 8, 2025. In the UK, it costs £10.71 (about $14.41). The early access period is expected to last approximately one to two years, and the price is likely to increase after full release.
Beartwigs expects the early access phase to run for one to two years, during which they will continue to add content and refine the game based on player feedback. The price will likely rise once the game leaves early access.
Romestead is now available on Steam. The launch discount runs until June 8, giving players a chance to grab it at a reduced price.
