ROCKNIX released its first stable operating system update in over a year on June 1st, 2026. The release brings significant backend changes and expands support for handheld gaming devices.

Major update expands device support and adds new emulation frameworks

The update targets Android-based handhelds from multiple manufacturers. It adds compatibility with approximately 17 new device models and variants. This raises the total number of supported devices to around 66 in a stable build.

ROCKNIX integrated several major emulator frameworks into this release. The team added FEX-emu, , Vita3K, TouchHLE, and SkyEmu to the platform. They also removed duckstation-lr from the supported list during this update cycle.
