Realme has introduced the Realme 16T smartphone in India. The device launches as the fourth member of the Realme 16 series and targets budget-conscious consumers with a focus on battery life and durability. It features an 8,000 mAh battery that supports 45 W wired charging and 15 W reverse wired charging.

The phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with up to 8 GB of RAM. Internal storage reaches up to 256 GB and expands via microSD card to 2 TB. A 6.8-inch LCD display delivers a resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels at 144 Hz refresh rate and peaks at 1,200 nits brightness.
The camera system includes a 50 MP main sensor using the Sony IMX852 unit, a 2 MP monochrome secondary lens, and a 16 MP front-facing shooter. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor replaces an in-display option. The build incorporates a 5,300 mm² vapor chamber for cooling and carries IP66, IP68, IP69K, and IP60 Pro water resistance ratings alongside MIL-STD-810H certification.
The device measures 8.8 mm thick and weighs 224 grams. It runs Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. The base model starts at INR 29,999 (~$313.29) for 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Higher configurations with 8 GB RAM cost INR 31,999 or INR 34,999 depending on storage capacity.
Realme has not revealed how many years of software support the Realme 16T will receive. The phone becomes available for purchase on May 27 through official channels and authorized retailers in India.
