Sony is expanding the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium libraries with seven new additions this month. This means all these big RPGs and horror titles are now available to play right away without additional purchases. This is great news for all PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members who are looking to increase their game collections even more.
Seven new titles arrive for Extra and Premium subscribers on October 20
Sony is bringing the latest round of games to the catalog on October 20 worldwide. These additions are for PlayStation Plus users with the Extra or Premium subscriptions. Sony has officially announced these games on its blog.

For Extra/Premium, the games joining the catalog are: Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, Mycopunk, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, The Midnight Walk, Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition, and Monster Energy Supercross 25. The majority of these titles are playable on PS5. However, Horizon Forbidden West, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, and Tales of Arise are also playable on PS4 as well.
For the Premium tier, there’s also two classic (emulated) games included: Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition. These classic gems can be played on both PS5 and PS4. So these are the two new additions for October Premium.
Recently, we covered some rumors that Sony might ditch the physical discs on PS5 by 2028. This is a hardware update that’s in contrast to their current software approach that’s about adding to the digital game libraries for subs. This month’s additions only further make the case for subscription as the way to go for a digital-focused gamer.
