PC HARDWARE

Peladn has introduced the HO5 mini PC, a compact desktop system designed for users who need significant processing power without occupying much desk space. The machine stands out by integrating an OCuLink port that allows direct connection to external graphics cards via PCIe Gen3. This hardware choice targets enthusiasts and creators who require strong local AI capabilities alongside traditional gaming or rendering performance.

Compact desktop offers 86 TOPS compute power for local AI tasks

The HO5 relies on ’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor as its central computing unit. This twelve-core, twenty-four-thread chip is built on the Zen 5 architecture and can reach clock speeds of up to 5.2GHz. Graphics duties are handled by the integrated Radeon 890M GPU, which shares memory with the main system.

Specifications

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 (12-core, up to 5.2GHz)
  • RAM: 32GB LPDDR5X-6400 (soldered)
  • Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD with one empty M.2 slot
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon 890M integrated GPU
  • Dimensions: 130 x 130 x 55 mm

Peladn equips every HO5 unit with 32GB of soldered LPDDR5X-6400 RAM and a pre-installed 1TB NVMe SSD. The motherboard includes two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, leaving one slot available for future storage expansion if the user chooses to upgrade later. The entire system fits inside a chassis measuring 130 by 130 by 55 millimeters.

The device offers up to 86 TOPS of total compute performance across its CPU, GPU, and neural processing unit. The integrated NPU alone delivers 55 TOPS, which exceeds the 40 TOPS threshold Microsoft requires for local Copilot+ AI features. This configuration ensures the machine meets current standards for running advanced artificial intelligence workloads locally.

Peladn has set a global launch price of $1,299 USD and a Chinese market price of 7,599 yuan. The company plans to release the HO5 in both regions during late June 2026. This pricing positions the mini PC as a premium option for users seeking high-end specifications in a small form factor.
