Here's a new bar for Old School RuneScape fans to aim for when it comes to patience and perseverance. One account owner has managed to conquer the longest collection grind in the MMORPG. At the end of the day, you can still make tangible accomplishments if you're willing to really invest long-term in the game. This achievement really shows off some of the content in the game for players that are willing to really spend years grinding.
Player #71 Beef completes all pets in 273 days of playtime
As for this new record, it was all done by one player named Coxie (with the username #71 Beef). They've managed to reach 565 Kill Count for the necessary boss stuff. This is a precursor to being able to get the last pets for the collection. It's a specific way of showing how much fighting you need to do to really complete the challenge.
So, Coxie has managed to do this amazing feat and a lot of time was put into it. It's been three years, nine months and 23 days since this account started. They've managed a total playtime that was active at 273 days, 20 hours. That's a lot of steady playing time every day. You're not getting some insane amount of activity for a burst of playtime.
We checked out the last Old School RuneScape update and that had a lot of the themes about balancing and stability stuff in it. This new record is different in that it's a pure player achievement. It's just showing the longevity of the game and what kind of extreme things people can set as goals.
Coxie's actually made a world record for the fastest all pets completion. We've got the specific times and the kill count stuff to prove it. So it's a new peak for players that want to do the ultimate collection in Old School RuneScape.
