Nintendo targets production of 20 million Switch 2 consoles by March 2027 as manufacturing ramps up for the next business year.
Manufacturing ramp-up aims for 16.5 million sales by April 2027 as prices rise in September
The company expects to sell 16.5 million units between now and April 2027, according to its latest production forecast.
Switch 2 prices will increase across multiple regions starting September 1, 2026.
US consoles will rise to $499.99 USD (about $500), European models will reach €499.99 EUR (about $581), and Canadian units will cost $679.99 CAD (about $494).
Japan-only region-locked Switch 2 consoles will increase to ¥59,980 JPY (about $377).
Nintendo cited changes in market conditions and the global business outlook as reasons for revising manufacturer suggested retail prices.
Industry analyst Serkan Toto noted that Nintendo faces little downside from initially setting conservative production targets before surpassing them later.
