Nintendo is expanding the library for its NES – Nintendo Classics app with three new retro titles. The update provides subscribers with immediate access to classic action and sports titles, eliminating the need for physical cartridges. Users interested in vintage gaming on modern devices can now add these specific releases to their digital libraries.
Three new retro titles join the digital library for subscribers
The latest additions include Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, R.C. PRO-AM II, and Ikari Warriors. These games join the existing roster of classic Nintendo Entertainment System software available through the official app. This update appeals to users who prefer the convenience of digital emulation over sourcing original hardware.
Ninja Gaiden III is a fast-paced action platformer that challenges players with difficult combat and precision jumping. R.C. PRO-AM II provides a competitive multi-sport experience featuring events such as obstacle racing and golf. Ikari Warriors offers a cooperative military shooter experience for players who prefer team-based tactical gameplay.
Nintendo also released a regional variation for the Japanese market with Dragon Buster. In Japan, this title replaces R.C. PRO-AM II, offering a different adventure game experience for local subscribers. The app remains a primary digital distribution channel for these legacy Nintendo titles.
