Modern Warfare 4's first big content release is fast approaching with the release of Season 1. If you are looking forward to the new maps, modes, and guns, you will soon know when to expect them. This is the first post-launch phase for Infinity Ward's latest installment in the series.
Infinity Ward has not released specific dates for the first major update
Infinity Ward is working on the seasonal release to keep the multiplayer world alive. It's during these big updates that they can add new competitive spaces and update balance. Season 1 is the ground floor of the new content coming throughout the year.
The information available so far is just a teaser for the soon-to-be-released info. There are no hard dates yet on when we can expect it to be released, or when the servers will be up and running. We don't even have an official release window yet to put on the calendar.
The last Modern Warfare 4 update we covered touched on some of the same balance and stability topics. It's the groundwork that got us to where we are now as far as what we can expect from this new season. People are definitely keeping a close eye to see if the trends continue.
