This new N5 Air-7640 variant swaps the previous Ryzen 7 processor for a Ryzen 5 chip, lowering the entry cost for enthusiasts building a personal media or game library. The move gives buyers a way to access the same massive storage expansion options at a significantly reduced price point.

The device retains the familiar N5 Air chassis but changes the internal computing core to an AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS processor. This Zen 4-based CPU replaces the Ryzen 7 255 found in the more expensive configuration, offering a different performance profile for the system. The enclosure measures 199 x 202 x 252 mm and weighs 4 kg, providing a compact footprint for a unit designed to hold multiple drives.
