Meta released Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12, 2026, giving developers immediate access to a new AI model with a 1 million token context window. This expansion matters because it allows builders to process significantly larger datasets in a single request, reducing the need for complex data chunking strategies. The standard Muse Wonder model is now available through the Meta Model API and Muse Code, while the more capable Muse Wonder Full tier is restricted to Muse Code subscribers.
Developers get immediate API access while consumer app excludes Europe
The release introduces two distinct model tiers with different performance profiles and pricing structures. Muse Wonder Full represents the top-tier offering, designed for complex reasoning tasks that require extended context retention. Muse Wonder serves as the standard option for developers who need reliable API access without the highest compute costs. Both models share the same 1 million token context window, which defines the maximum amount of text the system can process in one go.
Meta claims Muse Wonder Full scores 59.1 on its in-house Personal Superintelligence Index, placing it ahead of Claude Opus 5.5 at 55.2 and GPT-6 Astra at 54.5. Independent testing by Artificial Analysis places Muse Wonder Full at 56 on the Intelligence Index, tying it with Claude Sonnet 5.5. The standard Muse Wonder model scores 52 on the same Artificial Analysis benchmark. API pricing for Muse Wonder is set at $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens.
Muse Wonder will soon power experiences in the Muse app, but it will roll out first to subscribers. The Muse app currently skips Europe, limiting availability to North America for now. There is no confirmed date for when free users will gain access to the new models. Meta has promised a full safety report for later release, but no specific date has been provided for that document. The announcement did not list the specific countries where the API is available beyond the app restrictions.
