McDonald's hosted its first Sip Squad Game Night, a three-hour live Twitch event designed to promote the fast-food chain's new specialty beverage lineup launched in early May. The competition featured six popular content creators split into two teams: Happy's Squad and Lucky's Squad.

Lucky's Squad dominates Fortnite and Overcooked rounds in inaugural tournament

The teams faced off across three titles during the broadcast: Fortnite, Overcooked All You Can Eat!, and Party Animals. Lucky's Squad won every round across all three games, securing a clean sweep for Game Night 1.

Game Night 2 is planned for the coming weeks at participating U.S. locations. The upcoming event will feature VALORANT, Rocket League, and GeoGuessr as the competitive lineup.

The tournament served as a promotional vehicle for McDonald's new specialty beverages. The chain launched the drink menu in early May across select restaurants in the United States.

The fast-food chain has expanded its outreach to younger audiences by partnering with gaming communities and content creators. The tournament builds upon McDonald's history of working with well-known online broadcasters and competitive gaming figures.
