NetEase Games is launching Season 8 of Marvel Rivals on May 15, 2026. The update arrives globally at 9:00 UTC with patch version 1.51/1.000.088. This major content drop introduces new heroes, a fresh battle pass, and significant roster adjustments.
New hero Devil Dinosaur joins Vanguard role alongside Project: Heroic Age battle pass
The headline addition is Devil Dinosaur, who joins the Vanguard role. He brings the Primal Punishment team-up with The Punisher, granting bonus health as the anchor. The season also features the Project: Heroic Age Battle Pass and the Devil Dino Hide and Seek event.
Patch 1.51 implements extensive balance changes across the roster. Deadpool receives reduced healing from his ultimate ability and lower single-shot damage. Emma Frost gains improved survivability with increased damage reduction and a faster reposition cooldown. The Thing receives a base health boost to 750.
Other notable adjustments include buffs for Iron Fist, Phoenix, Spider-Man, and Wolverine. Mister Fantastic sees reduced charge times for Flexible Elongation but gains direct damage. Invisible Woman faces nerfs to her push distance and damage output. Mantis loses her damage boost but gains a flat movement speed increase for allies.
Loki suffers significant nerfs in both Classic and All-Heroes modes, including health reductions and increased cooldowns. Rocket Raccoon gains increased damage and repair charges. White Fox receives healing adjustments to balance burst versus passive output. Chilling Assault team-up range increases to 12 meters. Bug fixes address issues for Jeff the Land Shark, Thor, Black Widow, and Captain America.
