Lenovo has begun shipping the ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 mobile workstation across East and Southeast Asia in June 2025. This release gives professional users access to a 16-inch laptop that supports up to 64 GB of LPCAMM2 RAM and 8 TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage. Buyers requiring high-end mobile graphics will find the device equipped with the new Nvidia RTX Pro 2000 Blackwell GPU. The workstation targets engineers and creators who need reliable performance for demanding tasks without waiting for a global launch.
Mobile workstation ships in Asia with up to 64 GB RAM and Tandem OLED display
The ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 operates on Intel Core Ultra H-series processors. Users can configure the machine with the Core Ultra 7 356H, the Core Ultra 7 366H vPro, or the Core Ultra 9 386H vPro. Lenovo has not yet released the Core Ultra X9 processors or other Nvidia RTX Pro discrete GPUs that were mentioned in earlier reports. The current lineup relies on the RTX Pro 2000 Blackwell with 8 GB of video memory as the only available discrete graphics option.

The top-tier option is a 3,200 x 2,000 Tandem OLED panel that reaches 1,500 nits and supports variable refresh rates between 40 Hz and 120 Hz.
Pricing for the ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 starts at 38,310 HKD (around $4,888) in Hong Kong. The same model costs 21,142 MYR (around $5,115) in Malaysia and 7,182 SGD (around $5,562) in Singapore. A global launch is expected to follow shortly, but Lenovo has not provided a specific date for international release.
