Lenovo has introduced the ThinkPad Air 14, a new 14-inch laptop designed for users who prioritize portability and modern AI capabilities. This device matters to readers because it packs a high-refresh-rate display and a powerful neural processing unit into a chassis that weighs just one kilogram. Professionals and students who carry their machines daily will find the thin profile and fast charging features particularly useful for extended travel or long workdays without reliable power access.

A 1kg ultrabook with 47 TOPS NPU and 120Hz screen hits China for $1,259

The laptop runs on 's Lunar Lake Core Ultra 7 258V processor, which features eight cores and a maximum clock speed of 4.8 GHz. This chip integrates Arc 140V graphics and includes a built-in NPU capable of delivering up to 47 TOPS for AI tasks. Lenovo equipped the system with 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory to ensure smooth multitasking and efficient data handling for demanding applications.

Key Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 258V
  • Display: 14-inch IPS, 120 Hz, 1920 x 1200
  • Memory: 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533
  • Storage: 512 GB SSD (up to 2 TB supported)

Visuals come from a 14-inch IPS panel that offers a 1920 x 1200 resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
