IO Interactive has confirmed that the upcoming James Bond game 007 First Light will not support pre-loading on PC and Xbox platforms.

PC and Xbox players must wait until May 27 to begin downloading the game

Players purchasing the title for Steam or Xbox Series X/S must wait until the official release time to begin downloading files.

The game launches on May 27, with Deluxe Edition owners receiving 24-hour early access to play upon completion of the download.

PlayStation 5 will be the only platform offering pre-load support for the title, as Sony requires mandatory pre-loading on its console.

IO Interactive has not shared an exact reason behind why pre-loading is unavailable on and Xbox.
