Budget processors enter Chinese market alongside discounted premium models
The budget-focused chip uses a six-core hybrid CPU layout with two performance cores and four low-power efficiency cores. It pairs this processor with an integrated graphics section containing only two Xe3 cores and restricts memory to a single-channel configuration to keep manufacturing costs down.
Premium Lunar Lake laptops are currently dropping to around $600 in China, while entry-level models sell for $500 to $750 globally. Wildcat Lake options like the Honor Notebook X14 at approximately $570 and the ASUS Fearless 14SE near $600 compete directly with these Lunar Lake machines.
Early benchmarks indicate that Wildcat Lake performs competitively against Apple's MacBook Neo, often providing more memory, storage capacity, and active cooling solutions at lower price points.
