Intel, Qualcomm, and AMD adjust processor pricing due to rising manufacturing costs

The hikes affect multiple Intel architectures across different generations. Panther Lake processors with TSMC N3E GPU tiles saw 15 to 20 percent increases. Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake chips rose by 5 to 10 percent. Alder Lake and Twin Lake models increased by 10 to 20 percent.

Rising costs stem from advanced-node manufacturing and high demand for AI and mobile capacity. Intel uses TSMC N3E and its own Intel 18A process. Qualcomm also raised Snapdragon X and X2 Elite prices by approximately 10 percent effective October 1. is reportedly preparing similar CPU price adjustments of around 10 percent.

We have been tracking CPUs closely and noted earlier coverage on Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme Beats Intel. These coordinated moves signal a broader industry shift in component pricing. The market now faces sustained upward pressure on hardware costs.

Intel, Qualcomm, and AMD are all adjusting prices due to manufacturing and demand factors. The latest Intel hikes took effect in September. Qualcomm's changes begin in October. AMD's adjustments remain reported but unconfirmed.
