Huawei has launched the nova Y74, a mid-range smartphone that prioritizes battery life. The device packs a 6,620mAh silicon-carbon battery, one of the largest in its class, and supports 40W wired charging. This combination addresses a common need for users who require all-day battery life.

The nova Y74 is an international-market phone running EMUI 12. It features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 850 nits peak brightness. The screen also supports wet-touch input, making it usable in rain or with damp fingers.

The chipset powering the nova Y74 has not been officially confirmed. Based on similarities to the Huawei Enjoy 90 Plus, speculation points to a Kirin 8000-series processor. That detail remains unconfirmed and should be treated as a rumor.
