Huawei is preparing to release desktop computers running its HarmonyOS platform in September. The company is extending its operating system from mobile devices to personal computers. Huawei intends to create a comprehensive software environment serving both individual consumers and business clients.

The initial lineup includes two specific models identified as HM740 and HM940. These machines are designed with dedicated security chips to meet enterprise compliance requirements. Huawei has already begun testing these systems with business clients in anticipation of the launch.
The HM740 model features a 14.2-inch OLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The device weighs 1.32kg and measures 14.5mm in thickness for portability. It offers up to 21 hours of battery life on a single charge.
A key software feature is digital dual-space separation for data isolation. This function allows users to keep work and personal information completely separate on the same device. The hardware specifications support this security-focused architecture for professional environments.
