HP has released its ZBook 8 G2a mobile workstation globally with AMD Ryzen AI processors. The 14-inch laptop ships with AMD chips and offers high-refresh-rate displays alongside substantial memory configurations. HP expects to begin shipping units in June across international markets.

The system supports up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and features a 2 TB PCIe 5.0 SSD in an M.2 2280 form factor. Users can select from AMD Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, Ryzen AI 5 Pro 440, Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450, or Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 470 processors. Display options include a 1600p panel with 120 Hz variable refresh rate or a 1200p screen running at 60 Hz and reaching 800 nits.

HP lists the ZBook 8 G2a starting at $2,796 USD in the United States. The company charges an additional $233 for the higher-resolution 1600p display with variable refresh rate capabilities. Fully loaded configurations with premium components can exceed $8,000. HP also lists prices of £2,342.40 GBP and €2,847 / €4,077 EUR in other regions.
AMD-powered models are available to order globally now. Intel-based SKUs were originally promised alongside the AMD options but their specific release status remains unclear as we approach June. HP has not confirmed whether those Intel variants will ship on schedule or face further delays.
