Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era players can finally team up with friends in the new Alliances mode. This update addresses a long-standing request for cooperative play in the Steam Early Access title. We can now coordinate strategies rather than battling alone.
New cooperative mode allows parallel ally actions and shared victory
Unfrozen released this major update in late September. The new mode supports both player versus environment and player versus player scenarios. You can form alliances with other heroes to tackle challenges together.
The update introduces simultaneous real-time movement for allied players. You no longer need to wait for your partner to finish their turn. Allies can act in parallel to execute complex strategies.
Alliances enable resource and army exchanges between heroes. You can also transfer artifacts and request supplies through Strongholds or the Pocket Dimension spell. If one player achieves victory, both partners win the game.
The developers have asked the community to leave reviews on Steam. They state that feedback helps other players discover the game. A full 1.0 release date remains unannounced as the title continues its Early Access journey.
