A retailer listing has introduced uncertainty for players waiting for the next Grand Theft Auto title. French store Cdiscount published a document that includes a version of the game for the unannounced Switch 2. This leak suggests the game might reach Nintendo's handheld console, though the information remains unconfirmed by the developer.
French retailer document lists Switch 2 edition alongside console versions
The document lists Grand Theft Auto 6 for Switch 2 alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox editions. It also details Collector's Edition and pre-order options for the Switch 2 platform. Social media account SwitchActu shared the PDF file, which notes specific exclusions from a special offer.
Rockstar Games has only officially confirmed support for PlayStation and Xbox for the November 19 release. A PC port is rumored for 2027, but the company has provided no official timeline for a Switch 2 version. Technical analysis indicates the game demands high performance that may challenge even current-generation consoles.
Digital Foundry noted that Xbox and PS5 systems will struggle to maintain more than 30 frames per second during gameplay. The Switch 2 hardware capabilities remain unproven for a title with such heavy graphical requirements. We've been tracking GTA 6 closely — see our earlier coverage on GTA 6 PS5 Region Lock Confirmed.
