A twelfth gameplay leak of Grand Theft Auto 6 has surfaced online, offering another glimpse into the upcoming title just days before Rockstar Games releases its official extended look. This leak matters because it provides visible evidence of the game's current state, even though the footage comes from an older development build that may not reflect the final product. Players and industry watchers now have more material to analyze ahead of the scheduled August 27 reveal.
Twelfth gameplay leak offers glimpse of development state
The leaked clip features the protagonist, Jason, exploring the interior of a strip club. The footage highlights non-player character behaviors, including dancing and various interaction options available to the player. These details offer a look at the environmental design and character animation systems currently in place during development.
Visual improvements are evident in the leak, with observers noting better lighting, more fluid NPC animations, and refined character details. The background music in the scene includes 'Wanderlust' by The Weeknd and 'HEAT' by Tove Lo and SG Lewis. These audio and visual elements suggest a polished aesthetic, though the source warns that the clips originate from an earlier build and may not represent the final version.
Rockstar Games is scheduled to release an official 'Netflix Extended Look' on August 27. This official reveal is expected to provide more definitive information about the game's content and features. The leak adds to the growing volume of information surrounding the game, with this being the twelfth such incident in the past week. While the footage provides interesting details about gameplay and aesthetics, it remains unconfirmed whether these elements will appear in the final release. The official extended look later this month will likely clarify the game's direction and confirm which aspects of the leak are accurate.
