Players using the Grand Theft Auto IV RTX Remix mod can now access updated high-resolution assets that improve the visual fidelity of specific in-game objects. This release targets users seeking a more detailed environment by replacing standard models with high-polygon alternatives. The update addresses the need for consistent texture quality in a mod that previously relied on lower-resolution assets for many props.

Modder replaces thirty game props with high-resolution assets

Modder kapibos has released version 1.3.2 of the 4K High-Polygon Models pack for the game. This specific mod works with the latest RTX Remix platform update. The update focuses on enhancing the visual appearance of static and dynamic objects within the game world. Users must ensure their base RTX Remix installation is current to utilize these new assets.

The modder replaced thirty distinct props and objects with high-polygon versions created in Blender and Substance 3D Painter. Each object features 4K retexturing to match the high-resolution standards of modern path-traced rendering. These assets are designed to integrate with the ray-tracing features of the RTX Remix platform. The technical work involves detailed modeling and texture painting to maintain visual coherence.

RTX Remix version 1.3.2 introduces several underlying improvements alongside the mod support. The platform now includes a new anti-culling system and 3D chainlink fences. Visual updates include better rain effects and fixes for vehicle light z-fighting issues. These engine-level changes support the rendering of the new high-polygon models without graphical errors.

The mod does not cover all game props, which leads to visual inconsistency between the modified objects and vanilla game assets. Players will notice a contrast between the high-detail replacements and the original low-polygon models. This partial coverage means the mod enhances specific areas rather than providing a complete visual overhaul. Users should expect mixed visual quality depending on their location in the game.
