Sucker Punch Productions released update 2.007 for Ghost of Yotei on October 8, and this patch matters because it fixes bugs that can block player progress. The update addresses specific issues in the ‘Most Wanted’ DLC and resolves a black screen freeze that occurs after missions in ‘Echoes of Sekigahara’. Players who encountered these roadblocks can now continue their campaigns without interruption.
Patch 2.007 resolves black screen freezes and progress loss in Ghost of Yotei
This release marks the third game update for Ghost of Yotei in October. The patch version 02.007.000 focuses entirely on stability and bug resolution rather than adding new content. Unlike previous updates in the month, this release does not introduce new features or gameplay changes.
According to Sucker Punch Productions, “Patch 2.07 for Ghost of Yotei is now live. This patch further corrects bugs causing lost or blocked progress in Most Wanted, as well as fixing a bug where players could get stuck on a black screen after certain missions in Echoes of Sekigahara. Issues resulting in certain content not being marked as complete have also been resolved, as well as various other bug and crash fixes.”
We covered the last Ghost of Yotei update, and several of the same balance and stability themes came up in this new release. The current patch ensures that completed content registers correctly in the game’s progress tracking. This update applies to all players running the latest version of the software.
