HoYoverse will release Genshin Impact Version 6.6, titled Luna VII, on May 20, 2026. The update introduces three new characters and continues the main story in Sumeru.
Three new characters join the roster
The new characters are Nicole Reeyn, a 5-star Pyro Catalyst; Prune, a 4-star Anemo Catalyst; and Lohen, a 5-star Cryo Polearm. Nicole is the first playable member of the Hexenzirkel. Lohen is the Vice Captain of the Knights of Favonius' Fifth Company. The update also adds a new weekly boss fight against Dottore and two new artifact sets.
Version 6.6 launches globally on May 20, 2026.
The Archon Quest returns to Sumeru, where Nahida falls into a mysterious slumber. A new antagonist resembling Dottore appears. Completing the quest rewards 560 Primogems. The update also includes Hexerei buffs for seven legacy Mondstadt characters, expanded Manikin actions for photo mode, a Klee-led mini-game event, and the Miliastra Wonderland sports festival. A Snezhnaya teaser hints at Version 7.0, which launches on August 12, 2026.
HoYoverse confirmed the update on May 8. The full details were shared through the PlayStation Blog and other official channels.
