Vulkan renderer overhaul improves performance

The project is an open-source alternative to GameHub, with transparent development. It targets Android handhelds and aims to provide a native gaming experience. The new build is available globally starting May 31, 2026.

  • Vulkan renderer integration: From Winlator Ludashi
  • Controller implementation: Updated with compatibility improvements, including fixes for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX
  • LSFG-vk : Improvements for greater stability and reliability
  • Bionic implementation: Beta version enabling online functionality with reduced Steam client overhead
  • Epic Games Store offline mode: Support for launching games without an internet connection

The Vulkan renderer integration comes from Winlator Ludashi, enhancing performance and cutting input lag. Multiple PulseAudio fixes improve audio latency and suspend/resume behavior. Improvements to LSFG-vk frame generation deliver greater stability and reliability.

Controller support and Bionic Steam beta

Controller support has been updated with compatibility fixes, including for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. A beta Bionic Steam implementation enables online functionality with reduced Steam client overhead. Epic Games Store offline mode now supports launching games without an internet connection. Steam Cloud save fixes are also included.

The pre-release build is available on GitHub. No pricing information has been provided. The project continues to evolve with community feedback.

GameNative's development has been transparent throughout the beta phase. The 1.0 pre-release consolidates months of work into a more polished experience. Users can expect further refinements as the project moves toward a stable release.
