Forza Horizon 6 launched on May 19 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The game takes the open-world racing series to Japan. Notebookcheck tested its performance on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.
1080p Medium delivers smooth 95 FPS
At 1080p with the Medium preset, the RTX 3060 Ti averaged 95 FPS. The 1080p Extreme preset without ray tracing dropped to 49 FPS. Enabling ray tracing at 1080p Extreme reduced the average to 36 FPS. At 1440p Medium, the card delivered 83 FPS. The 1440p Extreme preset with ray tracing yielded only 16 FPS.
The game is available globally as of May 19.
The RTX 3060 Ti handles Forza Horizon 6 well at medium settings, but ray tracing at higher resolutions and presets proves too demanding for this GPU.
