VGC review suggests high quality despite security incident
The leak appears to be legitimate based on player screenshots and videos shared online. The leading theory suggests that a developer uploaded an unencrypted pre-loaded version to Steam's backend. Microsoft has not officially confirmed the cause of the breach.
VGC reviewed a small taste of the leaked build and described the experience positively. The outlet stated that the game is on track to challenge Forza Horizon 5 for the top spot in open-world racing. They plan to publish a full review closer to the official release date.
Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for general release on May 19. Premium Edition buyers received early access starting on May 15. VGC has not downloaded the leaked file to verify its validity and relies on third-party evidence.
