Playground Games has introduced a new in-game collectible system for Forza Horizon 6. The update adds a Discover Japan Collection Journal that features a dedicated Photography category. Players must locate and photograph specific landmarks, murals, and items scattered across the game's map to complete this section.
Completing this collection rewards players with the Toyota Chaser V car.
The Photography category requires players to find exactly 26 unique photo spots. Completing this collection rewards players with the Toyota Chaser V car. The locations include famous sites such as Kinkaku-ji, Hirosaki Castle, and the Tokyo Tower. Other targets include the Statue of Hachiko, Peace Torii, and the HZN-VI Rocket.
Some photo triggers require specific angles or movement to activate properly. For example, the Ruriko-ji Temple trigger may not activate if the player simply gets the temple in the shot. Players may need to move around the structure and photograph the side or back to successfully trigger the photo. The guide for these locations is currently a work in progress. Only 22 of the 26 required photos have been found so far.
The remaining four photo locations will be added to the guide shortly. This incomplete status reflects the ongoing nature of the content discovery process. The specific list of murals includes works by artists such as Wakana Yamazaki and Kenji Iwasaki. Other notable items include Kites, Water Lanterns, and Tanabata Streamers.
