Epic Games and Disney have turned a theme park ride into a digital reward for Fortnite players. You can now unlock an exclusive Star Wars skin by visiting specific attractions at Disneyland or Walt Disney World. This collaboration ties a physical experience directly to in-game cosmetics, offering a unique way for fans to earn content that is not available through standard gameplay or store purchases.
Epic Games ties Forsworn Trooper cosmetic to physical attraction visits
The new cosmetic item is called the Forsworn Trooper skin. To obtain it, players must ride the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim or Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Orlando. After the ride, you need to link your MyDisney account to your Epic Games account to claim the skin. This process ensures that only visitors who have experienced the attraction can access this specific item.
Beyond the skin, the collaboration includes additional digital content for Fortnite. Players can earn a Gambit-themed loading screen by completing a quest on the Fortnite Smugglers Gambit island. This island serves as a dedicated location for fans to engage with the Star Wars theme beyond just the cosmetic reward. The update also follows a significant $1.5 billion investment by Disney in Epic Games, highlighting the growing partnership between the two companies.
We looked at the last Fortnite update earlier while tracking NVIDIA launches. When we covered the last Fortnite update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. The current release focuses heavily on this exclusive partnership, adding a layer of real-world exclusivity to the game's usual content cycle. The skin and loading screen are the primary tangible rewards for those who complete the required steps.
