Fellowship Entertainment is preparing to activate a collection of dormant video game intellectual properties following its separation from Embracer Group. The company acquired these underleveraged brands and intends to develop them through remasters, new game treatments, reimaginings, adaptations, and licensing opportunities. This strategy aims to generate meaningful value by tapping into established fanbases that have waited years for updates on these franchises.
Eidos-Montreal and Crystal Dynamics develop new games for underleveraged franchises
The portfolio includes well-known series such as Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain, Saints Row, TimeSplitters, Thief, Red Faction, and Lord of the Rings. Fellowship Entertainment confirmed that studios Eidos-Montreal and Crystal Dynamics are currently working on new games in the concept phase. The organization views these brands as a strong room of intellectual property that requires activation to realize their full potential.

Recent developments show mixed progress for some of these franchises. A Deus Ex project at Eidos-Montreal was cancelled after two years of development, while Deus Ex Remastered remains available on Steam. Legacy of Kain received a sequel remaster collection in 2024 and launched a new 2D action game titled Legacy of Kain: Ascendance earlier this year.
The company acknowledges that fans have been patient for these franchises to return. Activating even a handful of these properties creates incremental value, which Fellowship Entertainment is actively working on. The organization plans to leverage both gaming adaptations and broader licensing opportunities to bring these dormant brands back into the market.
