Epic Games is handing out four free titles on its store this month, giving players immediate access to two remastered classics and two new indie releases. This week’s rotation starts with System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and Buried Stars, available until October 8. These selections offer a mix of survival horror and mystery adventure, providing substantial gameplay value for users who want to expand their libraries without spending money.
System Shock 2 remaster and Buried Stars are free until October 8
The store continues its free distribution schedule with Out of Sight and TerraScape, which become available on October 8 and run through October 15. Out of Sight places players in the role of a blind protagonist navigating a horror puzzle adventure. TerraScape shifts genres entirely, offering a medieval city-building puzzle experience for players who prefer strategic construction over combat.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster brings the cult classic into the modern era with updated presentation and widescreen support. The remaster also adds cross-play co-op functionality, allowing friends on different platforms to play together. Buried Stars, developed by Line Games, centers on a survival audition show, blending mystery elements with the tension of a high-stakes competition.
These free games arrive just days after the previous rotation ended, maintaining the store’s weekly release cadence. When we covered the last Epic Games Store update, several of the same balance and stability themes came up. The current lineup ensures that users who missed the earlier Astrea and Mechabellum giveaways still have plenty of content to claim before the month ends.
