Epic Games is exploring AI tools to increase efficiency, not to replace jobs. The company is developing the tooling in-house for Fortnite.

AI goal is efficiency, not job loss

Stephanie Arnette, senior external development manager on Fortnite, stated that the goal of AI is to make workers more efficient. She addressed concerns about job displacement, saying that is not the company's aim.

Epic is not partnering with external AI providers for Fortnite. Arnette explained that the company is so large that any AI integration would come from within, not from outside partners.

The comments were made during a Gamescom Latam panel. Epic has not confirmed any specific timeline or details about the AI tools under development.
