EA Sports has released a new update for EA Sports FC 26 on May 8. The patch brings the game to version 1.5.5 across platforms. Console players will encounter this update labeled as patch 1.24/1.000.023. The primary focus of this release is bug fixes and stability improvements.
Patch addresses low frame rates after second half and resets CPU Slider settings
The update addresses several performance issues that affected gameplay. Specifically, the developers fixed cases where game performance dropped to low frame rates after the second half of matches. The patch also corrects a bug where CPU Slider settings reset to default after relaunching the game and loading a save file. Additionally, the update resolves an issue where the Actions button callout was unavailable in the New Releases tab when using the Compare Price function.
Beyond performance, the patch introduces visual and functional corrections. The update adjusts youth player height generation to ensure more realistic and balanced prospects. It also fixes an incorrect team display that occurred when starting a new Manager Career with an Icon Player. The Objectives button now opens the correct screen instead of the FC HUB. The developers have also updated various banners, flags, scarves, and kits, along with trophy images and stadium overlays.
EA Sports has not confirmed the launch window for subsequent patches. The company continues to address stability issues and text display errors in ongoing maintenance releases.
