PC gamers using Sony's DualSense controller can now feel haptic feedback without a cable. The latest beta of the DSX app enables wireless haptics over Bluetooth for the first time. Previously, the feature required a USB-C connection.

DSX beta enables wireless haptics

DSX v3.2 Beta 01, available on Steam, simulates a wired device to transmit haptic data wirelessly. The app costs $7.99, with a $3.99 DSX+ DLC for additional features. It also revamps button mapping and profiles.

A 28-day cache avoids needing running in the background. The update narrows a feature gap with Xbox controllers, which have supported wireless haptics on PC for some time.

The beta version of the program is available on Steam now. Sony has not provided a release date for the final version.
