DSpico Open-Source DS Flash Cart Now Available for Pre-Order
RETRO

The DSpico is the first open-source DS and DSi flash cart. It is available pre-assembled from two vendors. Phenom Mod sells it for 19.99 USD (about $19.99). Laser Bear Industries offers it for 30 USD (about $30.00).

Available from two vendors at $20 and $30.

The cart's open-source design allows third-party production and modification. It includes a development port for attaching peripherals such as infrared. However, the DSpico does not currently support infrared out of the box.

The DSpico is available globally as of April 2026.

The open-source nature of the DSpico could offer some insulation from Nintendo legal action, though that is not guaranteed.
