Capcom released version 3.200 of Dragon's Dogma 2 on September 1, 2024, bringing the most substantial update to the game since launch. This patch matters because it fixes persistent issues that have frustrated players for months, particularly around save management and pawn behavior. We can now see concrete improvements to the core gameplay loop rather than just cosmetic tweaks.

The update targets all major platforms, including , PlayStation 5 Pro, , , and PC. Capcom adjusted performance modes across these systems to stabilize frame rates and improve visual fidelity. Players on consoles can now expect consistent 60 FPS performance in specific modes, while PC users benefit from updated hardware requirements.

  • PS5 Pro Performance Mode: 2160p, Enhanced PSSR, 60 FPS~
  • PS5 Performance Mode: 2160p, , 60 FPS

Performance modes have been reworked for the latest hardware. The PS5 Pro and PS5 now offer a 2160p performance mode targeting 60 FPS using Enhanced PSSR and FSR respectively. Xbox Series X mirrors this with a 2160p, 60 FPS mode using FSR. Xbox Series S targets 45 FPS at 2160p* with FSR. PC minimum requirements now list the GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT 8GB, while recommended specs require an RTX 2070 Super or RX 6600 XT.

Save functionality received significant attention with the addition of three extra save slots per Arisen. The patch introduces new save types including Autosave, Interim, and Last Inn Rest to prevent progress loss. Pawn AI also sees major improvements with new commands like Explore and High Five, alongside better grappling abilities. Vocation adjustments add Magick Barrier for Mages and Sorcerers, and Buoyant Brume for Tricksters.

We looked at earlier patches while tracking Capcom's release schedule, and this update stands out for its breadth. Bug fixes address pawn eye glitches, oxcart physics, and quest synchronization issues that have plagued the game. The version 3.2 patch delivers on the promise of a more stable and playable experience across all platforms.
