Destiny 2 players are exploiting a game-breaking bug that allows them to stack multiple seasonal Artifact mods for near-infinite damage. The issue emerged shortly after Bungie released the Monument of Triumph update on June 9, which marked the final patch for the long-running shooter.

Players exploit seasonal Artifact mods for near-infinite damage after final patch release

The Monument of Triumph update served as a concluding celebration for the game instead of introducing significant mechanical changes. The update featured additional cosmetic items and shared objectives designed to honor the game's seasonal content. Players quickly discovered that the modding system allowed them to combine several seasonal Artifact mods in ways the developers did not anticipate.

Equipping Artifact mods provides substantial power increases, though combining several versions creates an unintended advantage that disrupts game balance. The bug effectively removes damage caps for players who use this exploit. Bungie has acknowledged the issue and plans to fix it in a future update.

Bungie disabled Artifacts in Crucible and Gambit PvP modes to prevent unfair advantages in competitive play. The developer also encouraged players to enjoy the temporary power boost while the fix is being prepared. Reports suggest Bungie may lay off 50% of its workforce this summer, adding context to the studio's current operations.
